We don't often see pinprick pictures for sale. This seems to be a lost art. A watercolor was enhanced by pricking the picture with different sized pins to create designs that accentuated and texturized the picture. I imagine it would have been done by ladies of leisure, along with their sewing, music, and reading. Although when you consider the subject of this piece, you wonder how "ladylike" an endeavor it was.
