"Make Hay While the Sun Shines" is a quote often attributed to Benjamin Franklin, but it was actually first written by John Heywood in "All the Prouerbes in the Englishe Tongue" (1546), and he said it like this:

Whan the sunne shinth make hay.
This little mug was made for a child around 1820, and has that saying on it; obviously a good lesson for the young farmer.
The mug is a pale canary with a red transfer, and stands 2&frac38" tall.
