These Whieldon (or tortoise-shell) creamware plates stand out from the crowd. They have great silver-form gadrooned edges which are covered in green glaze. The inside of the plate is the typical manganese sponging, enhanced by a green glaze splotch in the center and three segments of yellow around the interior of the rim.

They are in perfect condition, date c. 1770, and measure 10" diameter.
