This rare survivor is actually two tea canisters connected into one. The mold is one found on saltglaze and red stoneware from a slightly earlier era. Whoever decorated it with blue did not have the steadiest hand, but the total effect is completely charming.

No restoration. The sterling silver tops are not original.
