This piece, decorated en grisaille, has a classical scene with a semi-nude man who appears to be emerging from a bath. Or use your imagination to create the scene....

It is mid 18th century and is a lovely silver form. The make-do handle was carefully added at a later time when the original porcelain handle broke. The only color is the green and pink pomegranate knop. Damage is limited to a chip on the lid.
