This armchair, and similar examples, were made for the statehouse in Connecticut between 1770 and 1790. This is branded CHATFIELD (an unrecorded chairmaker). Restoration is limited to an old repair on the left arm. Later Windsor green covers the old red with scattered touch-ups. For a similar example see C.
