This distinctive chair has arms typical of Philadelphia Windsors. What makes it stand out from the crowd is the fact that most chairs of this type have bamboo-turned legs, and this one has earlier vase and ring turnings, with a turned medial stretcher as well.

It retains an old surface, showing an interesting paint history. Circa 1770.
