This large-sized Liverpool jug has an American eagle, an American ship, and the name Joseph Ogilby.
|
|
Ogilby was born in Winchester, Virginia; married in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and died in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We have not yet determined the name of his ship.

|
The jug is in great condition, with only a restoration to the spout. There are traces of gold remaining, and the jug stands 11 3/4" tall.
