A whimsical addition to the dining table, this papier mâché "trolley" could be rolled across to the person who needs more wine in a hurry. The base is lacquered and painted in gold with grapes and other motifs, and the wheels, handles, and trim are brass. It is evident that one side was used quite a bit more than the other, as the grapes on the less used side are still intact, while on the other side they are almost worn off. The decanters are of the period, if not original. The only fault is that one of the stoppers is larger than the other. This is altogether a rare and intact whimsy to dress up your formal dinners.
