Pink Lustre Occupational Jug

This jug was made for Joseph Wooley, a saddle and harness maker, in 1822. His name and the date are written under the spout; on one side is a coat of arms of his profession with the saying "Unanimity and truth alone ensure success." The only reference I can find to this saying is in a publication from the Tyne Iron Society published in Newcastle in 1826. Not sure what the connection is between the iron society and the harness makers.
At any rate, the jug is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage. The border is wide and colorful. Altogether an extraordinary piece.
7" tall.
