Made by Rowland Folger (1803-1883) for A. E. Swasey. The bottom interior is stenciled R. FOLGER/MAKER/NANTUCKET/MASS. On the underside is stenciled A.E. SWAYSEY.

A.E. Swasey was either Albert E. Swasey (1809-11876) who was superintendent of the New Bedford and Taunton Railroad, or his son, Albert E. Swasey, Jr. (1843-1909) who was a noted Boston architect.
