Signed by its maker, Johann Heinrich Giese, who worked in Germany in the mid 18th century. One side shows a ¾ portrait of Frederick the Great, and the other side shows an elaborate "R" with a crown above and a list of battles won in the Seven Years War.

The box is brass with copper sides, and is 5" long.
