A charming pair of silk embroideries depciting a young man and his lady friend, circa 1790-1810.

There are no tears or damage aside from a bit of foxing on her. They have old Shreve, Crump & Low labels on the reverse. Shreve's was a well-respected store on Boylston Street in Boston, and had an excellent antiques department run by the esteemed Edgar Bingham, a gentleman with impeccable taste.
