This charming vignette shows two children, possibly a brother and sister, with their dog, posing on the doorstep of a cottage. Note that the child standing up (presumably the brother) has no shoes on, and the seated child (the sister---note her necklace) is wearing only one shoe.
Circa 1810-20. In its original mahogany veneered frame, it measures 12" wide by 14 1/8" tall.
