A late 18th century pearlware coffeepot painted in underglaze blue with a Chinese pagoda and foliage. Similar to many examples found in "Painted in Blue" by Lois Roberts, but we unfortunately did not find decoration exactly like any in the book; therefore, we cannot attribute this to any particular pottery.

We especially like the number of birds flying around in the sky!
|
12 ½" tall. Circa 1780-90. The tip of the spout was broken a long time ago, and was mended with an amusing tin tip. There are a few other small rim chips. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
