This is an exuberantly decorated saltglaze mug, with enamelled flowers on all sides. It was made in England circa 1760, and has a slight barrel form, with the top and bottom rims tipping inward just a little bit.

There was a hairline crack which was professionally restored, as well as damage and restoration to the bottom. However, we thought it was such a fine example that it was worthy of purchase, and is a great survivor. From a Massachusetts estate. 4 5/8" tall.
