SOLD A Victorian Connecticut Gallery Clock |
During the Civil War period and on into the early 20th century, timepieces like this were found in railroad terminals, town halls, schoolhouses and other public buildings. This is an eight day clock made by the Ingraham Company in Bristol, Connecticut. Oversized (24" in diameter), this has retained its original gilding, face, hands, key, and movement, which has been overhauled, cleaned and oiled...ready for another century of telling the hour. |
