SOLD A Milliner's Head or Wig Stand |
This Milliner's head is in excellent and bright condition. The applied features and bodice retain their original color. Like many of these folky heads, this one has had a little bash-up of her nose, but we think that just adds to her charm. She does not have a kidskin covering on her head.
She stands 15" tall, and was made in Paris around 1860.> Louis Danjard, circa 1860, had a his patent for decoration of milliner's heads (described in the Encyclopedia of French Dolls, volume I, page 169.) |
