A figural watch hutch in the form of a longcase clock. It is virtually identical to an example pictured in Lewis' "Pratt Ware" on page 94. The example in the book, however, is impressed "DIXON AUSTIN & CO." We have no doubt that ours is also made in this pottery. Lewis dates the piece 1820-26.
